At Hilltop Angus Farm, we raise cows the way nature intended. We keep it simple – grass, water and sunshine.
Our small, 200-acre family farm sits at the edge of the beautiful Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina where we carefully manage our pastures and grazing animals for their optimal health and growth.
Angus cattle forage for their lifetime in open pastures on high quality, nutritious annual and perennial grasses. They never get grain. We adhere to the dietary protocols required by the American Grassfed Association, which certifies and audits our farm – so you can be assured that you are buying real grassfed beef.
And, our cattle are never given antibiotics, or growth hormones. If an animal is ill and requires antibiotic treatment, we remove it from our regular program and it is not sold at our markets.
At Hilltop Angus Farm, we focus on our herd’s needs. We adhere to the most rigorous and progressive animal care standards in the nation and are certified as Animal Welfare-approved.
Our prime breeding stock results in unmatched beef tenderness and flavor – allowing you to experience beef the way it is meant to taste.
In recent months, we have introduced our popular heritage pork at the farmers markets to great reviews.That product is also being used for a variety of handmade artisan salamis. Just this month, we began offering lamb -- a product that sold out quickly and is only available at certain times of the year. We've also introduced Champs™, a 100% Angus beef liver jerky treat for dogs, which we will ship.
